• 28 September 2006: Meeting of GOB and a Bremen Senate delegation in the new GMES Office Brussels: Head of Bureau Valère Moutarlier supports the Bremen initiative and said that the priorities in the areas Marine, Atmosphere and Security were also in line with the EU Strategy.

• August 2006: set up of a DLR project office, to prepare the foundation of a new DLR Institute in Bremen (by January 2007) dedicated to space system research (satellites, space transportation & space exploration) but also to space related security research

• 19.04.06: How Bremen actively supports the GMES Development, comments and statement of the GMES Office Bremen (GOB) concerning the Graz Declaration

• February 2006: Günter Verheugen about the role of Bremen in the aerospace industry (mp3 audio file from radio program [1.724 KB] )

• February 2006: foundation of the DFKI Lab for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, as a precursor for a later Center for Advanced Robots, to support the development, test and operation of robotic systems for terrestrial, maritime and space applications

• Beginning 2006: set up of a GMES Office Bremen (GOB), in charge of developing a concept for a GMES service center in Bremen contributing to the EC GMES initiative
