- Due to its maritime background Bremen will set a first focus on "Marine & Maritime services". A national Project "DeMARINE", will promote and support german contributions to the GMES Marine Core Services and derived GMES Downstream-Services , as well as the establishment of a regional / national GMES Marine Service Centre. "DeMARINE" is supported by DLR and Bremen and will start beginning 2007 after a user Workshop in November 2006. "DeMARINE" will be performed in close cooperation between the GMES Office Companies OHB and Astrium, selected research organizations (e.g. IUP, AWI, DLR), the BSH in Hamburg (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie) and other national experts.
