- Founded in 1995, the TZI is an institute of the faculties of “Mathematics and Computer Sciences” and “Physics and Electrical Engineering” of Bremen University with more than 140 staff-members. Its objectives are the research, development and transfer of innovative computing technologies. The main tasks of the TZI include
- Practical cooperation with enterprises and organizations through transfer of computer science and electrical engineering technologies, and personnel
- Research and development of innovative technologies in the fields of computer science and electrical engineering
- Development of new research areas based on practical problems of an enterprise
- Improved trainings for students and young researchers
- Contribution to the structural development of Bremen, e.g. spin-offs, technology services and innovation counselling.
