28 September 2006: Meeting of GOB and a Bremen Senate delegation in the new GMES Office Brussels: Head of Bureau Valère Moutarlier supports the Bremen initiative and said that the priorities in the areas Marine, Atmosphere and Security were also in line with the EU Strategy.
August 2006: set up of a DLR project office, to prepare the foundation of a new DLR Institute in Bremen (by January 2007) dedicated to space system research (satellites, space transportation & space exploration) but also to space related security research
